China is condemning new sanctions imposed by the United States under legislation passed last year on Hong Kong's autonomy. On Wednesday, Washington identified 24 Chinese officials as "interfering in Hong Kong's freedoms." The sanctions include restrictions on banking and business with some financial institutions.
