Chinese foreign ministry says they hope they can work with the U.S. on cooperation, in order to build a healthy and stable relationship. The foreign ministry has also expressed dissatisfaction after Japanese and American officials issued a statement criticizing Beijing's activity in Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Xinjiang, saying it seriously interferes with China's internal affairs. It comes a day before top American and Chinese officials are to meet in Alaska for the first face-to-face, high-level talks since U.S. President Joe Biden came into office.
