The face-to-face high-level strategic dialogue between senior Chinese and U.S. officials has wrapped up in Alaska.
- The Chinese delegation is led by senior diplomats Yang Jiechi and Wang Yi.
- U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken and National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan are representing the U.S.
- The dialogue was held on March 18-19 local time.
- The China-U.S. high-level strategic dialogue was candid, constructive and helpful, though there are still some important differences between the two sides, said senior Chinese official Yang Jiechi on Friday.
- China still hopes that the U.S. will meet China halfway, and in particular, the two sides should respect each other's core interests and major concerns, Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi said.
