Chinese mainland reports 11 new COVID-19 cases

The Chinese mainland recorded 11 new COVID-19 cases on Thursday, ten from overseas and one domestic, data from the National Health Commission (NHC) showed on Friday.

No deaths related to COVID-19 were reported on Thursday, the NHC said.

Five new asymptomatic cases were recorded on Thursday, while 252 asymptomatic patients are under medical observation.

This brought the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases on the Chinese mainland to 90,083, with the death toll unchanged at 4,636.

The total number of confirmed cases in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and the Taiwan region are as follows:

Hong Kong: 11,350 (10,824 recoveries, 203 deaths)

Macao: 48 (47 recoveries)

Taiwan: 998 (958 recoveries, 10 deaths)
