The United Nations Summit on Biodiversity, COP15, will take place in October in Kunming City, southwest China's Yunnan Province, after being delayed for a year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the UN said on Friday.
The meeting is seen as a vital chance for nations to set guidelines for protecting nature and slowing the catastrophic pace of species loss. The UN said the summit would be held October 11-24, just a few weeks before a parallel UN conference on climate change, COP26, takes place in Glasgow.
