Sanxingdui is an archaeological site by the Yazi River in Guanghan, southwest China's Sichuan Province. Sanxingdui, meaning "Three-Star Mounds" in Chinese, comes from ancient Chinese texts that describe three star-shaped mounds together with a crescent-shaped cove. The terrain of Sanxingdui neatly fits that description.

It's been 35 years since the discovery of the site, and six pits are under excavation. What will be the new discoveries? Follow CGTN's Special Coverage on "China's Archaeological Missing Link" if you are interested.
