The second batch of 800,000 doses of China's Sinovac COVID-19 vaccine purchased by Thailand arrived in the country on Saturday morning.

The Southeast Asian country has ordered a total of two million doses of Sinovac shots. The first shipment of 200,000 doses arrived last month and has already been used to vaccinate its citizens, among the recipients was Deputy Prime Minister and Public Health Minister Anutin Charnvirakul.

The remaining vaccines will be delivered to Thailand next month.
