A photographer recently unwittingly recorded a crested ibis in northwest China's Shaanxi Province. This was an extraordinary moment as it was the first time the endangered bird had been seen in Yan'an, Shaanxi Province. From the bird's call, experts can tell that this male crested ibis is 19 years old, and was released into the wild in 2015.
