South Korean President Moon Jae-in (68) and his wife Kim Jung-sook (66) have received the first dose of AstraZeneca's COVID-19 vaccine on Tuesday, Yonhap News Agency reported.
Moon plans to attend a Group of Seven (G-7) summit in Britain next June. Nine Cheong Wa Dae officials attending the meeting were vaccinated as well.
South Korea began administering the AstraZeneca vaccine in citizens aged 65 and older on Tuesday, following a delay attributable to safety concerns.
