China's Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR) suspended COVID-19 vaccinations from a single batch of BioNTech shots over defective packaging, the region's health authority said on Wednesday. 

Macao's health authorities said it received a report from Fosun International Limited in Hong Kong indicating issues with packaging lids on batch 210102 of BioNTech doses.

Fosun and BioNTech said they have launched an investigation into the matter.
