Chinese President Xi Jinping on Tuesday encouraged Shaxian snacks to further grow and contribute to the country's urbanization and rural revitalization.

Xi, also general secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, visited Yubang Village, Shaxian District of Sanming City during an inspection tour of east China's Fujian Province.

Xi met with local officials and residents and encouraged them for further innovative efforts to make Shaxian snacks even better. It is something that comes as the time requires, meeting each other halfway, Xi said.
