The Chinese mainland recorded 11 new COVID-19 cases on Wednesday, all from overseas, data from the National Health Commission (NHC) showed on Thursday.

No deaths related to COVID-19 were reported on Wednesday, the NHC said.

Ten new asymptomatic cases from overseas were also recorded on Wednesday, and 232 asymptomatic patients, all from overseas, are under medical observation.

This brought the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases on the Chinese mainland to 90,136, with the death toll unchanged at 4,636.

The total number of confirmed cases in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and the Taiwan region are as follows:

Hong Kong: 11,419 (10,963 recoveries, 204 deaths)

Macao: 48 (48 recoveries)

Taiwan: 1,009 (969 recoveries, 10 deaths)
