Is stirring up ethnic conflicts in China long on the U.S. agenda?

The U.S. has been busy hyping up Xinjiang-related rumors against China, with U.S. officials spreading false information and groundless accusations on topics including systematic rape, forced labor, forced sterilization, and even genocide on multiple occasions. So why is the U.S. making such accusations over China's human rights issue? To find an answer to this question, one may get some clues from a speech delivered by a former State Department official in 2018. Lawrence Wilkerson, chief of staff to former U.S. Secretary of State Colin Powell, said at the Ron Paul Institute's Washington Conference that if the CIA would want to destabilize China, the best way to do it is to cause social unrest and push China from the inside.
