A pair of bald eagles was found nesting on a 145-feet Jeffrey pine tree in California's Big Bear Lake. Jackie and Shadow laid their first egg on February 8, and a second clutch three days later. Since then, they have been protecting and incubating the eggs.

Sadly, the chick in the first egg appears to have stopped moving, but Jackie and Shadow are continuing to diligently care for the second.
