Chinese President Xi Jinping on Saturday sent a message of condolence to his Egyptian counterpart, Abdel-Fattah al-Sisi, over a train collision in the country that killed at least 19 people and injured over 180.
In the message, Xi said he was shocked to learn about the accident, which caused heavy casualties.
On behalf of the Chinese government and people as well as in his own name, Xi expressed deep condolence to bereaved families and extended sympathies to the injured, and wished them a quick recovery.
