Yue-Sai Kan: Asian Americans scapegoated for COVID-19 hardship

There has been a rash of violent racist attacks against Asians in the United States in recent months. Since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, hate speech and violence against the AAPI community has run rampant. In an interview with CGTN's Wang Guan, Yue-Sai Kan, Emmy-winning TV host and Co-Chair of China Institute, said Asians have become scapegoat for the hardship brought by the COVID pandemic. She also blamed media sensationalism and right-wing politicians for fueling anti-Asian passions.
