00:59

2021 marks the 40th anniversary of the rediscovery of wild crested ibises, which were thought to be extinct in the wild until they were found in 1981 in Yangxian County of Hanzhong City, northwest China's Shaanxi Province. After decades of research into conservation and reproduction, the number of crested ibises has grown to more than 5,000.
