The Chinese mainland recorded eight new COVID-19 cases on Monday, all from overseas, data from the National Health Commission (NHC) showed on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, no new deaths related to COVID-19 were reported, the NHC said.
Six new asymptomatic cases from overseas were recorded on the same day, and 263 asymptomatic patients are under medical observation.
This brought the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases on the Chinese mainland to 90,190, with the death toll unchanged at 4,636.
The total number of confirmed cases in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and the Taiwan region are as follows:
Hong Kong: 11,454 (11,075 recoveries, 205 deaths)
Macao: 48 (48 recoveries)
Taiwan: 1,023 (979 recoveries, 10 deaths)
