In Ruicheng County, north China's Shanxi Province, local farmers are using a smart system via cell phone to control the irrigation system. It used to take 15 days to finish irrigation for 50 hectares of farmland, now it takes only five. Drones are also used to spray pesticides. The county has planted around 30,000 hectares of winter wheat. The use of advanced technology has helped increase crop production and the incomes of local farmers.
