The Chinese mainland recorded 11 new COVID-19 cases on Tuesday, five from overseas and six domestic cases in southwest China's Yunnan Province, data from the National Health Commission (NHC) showed on Wednesday.

No new deaths related to COVID-19 were reported, the NHC said.

Eight new asymptomatic cases from overseas were recorded the same day, and 255 asymptomatic patients are under medical observation.

This brought the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases on the Chinese mainland to 90,201, with the death toll unchanged at 4,636.

The total number of confirmed cases in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and the Taiwan region are as follows:

Hong Kong: 11,461 (11,085 recoveries, 205 deaths)

Macao: 48 (48 recoveries)

Taiwan: 1,024 (981 recoveries, 10 deaths)
