Chrysanthemum or peach blossom? Peculiar flower in NW China's Shaanxi
CGTN

This vibrantly-colored flower is called Prunus persica Chrysanthemoides, also known as "chrysanthemum peach" in China. Although it resembles a chrysanthemum, it is in fact in the genus of peach blossoms.

Mainly found in northern and central China, the flower blossoms in March and April. Though it appears fragile, it can survive in arid and hot regions.

These photos were taken in Qishan County, Baoji City of northwest China's Shaanxi Province, by CGTN's Xu Chenlu.
