Bayern Munich and Poland striker Robert Lewandowski will miss around four weeks due to sprained ligaments in his right knee, the German champions confirmed on Tuesday.

Lewandowski was injured in Poland's World Cup qualifying win over Andorra on Sunday, ruling him out of his country's clash against England on Wednesday.

The Poland international will also miss the upcoming match against RB Leipzig, who trail leaders Bayern by four points, as well as both legs of the Champions League quarterfinals against Paris Saint-Germain in early April.

The forward is having another sensational campaign, having struck 35 goals in his 25 Bundesliga appearances this season so far. He is six goals away from breaking Gerd Muller's Bundesliga record of 40 goals in one season.
