Karnivak-Kov, the first and only COVID-19 vaccine for animals in the world, was officially registered on Wednesday in Russia, reported Russian state news agency RIA, citing the deputy head of Rosselkhoznadzor, Russian federal veterinary and phytosanitary watchdog.
The vaccine, developed by the Federal Center for Animal Health, started clinical trials on dogs, cats, foxes and minks last October, showed no side effects, said Konstantin Savenkov, adding that 100 percent of the clinical animals developed antibodies.
