The Sultan of Brunei, Hassanal Bolkiah, was given his first COVID-19 shot on Thursday, the country's health ministry said, adding the nationwide inoculation will start on Saturday.

Brunei has so far approved the use of three COVID-19 vaccines, which are from AstraZeneca, Pfizer and Sinopharm, but the ministry did not disclose which one the sultan received. 

A total of 213 confirmed cases have been logged in the country with three fatalities.
