Friday marks World Autism Awareness Day. Autism spectrum disorder, or ASD, refers to a range of conditions characterized by impaired social behavior, communication, and language. A report by the World Health Organization says one in 160 children has ASD. The latest figures show more than 10 million people in China are diagnosed with autism and more than two million among them are under the age of 14. Xu Honghong, from Beijing's Medical Psychology Department of Peking University, joined CGTN's Global Watch to discuss China's autism rate and how society can help autistic people.
