China's FAST (Five-hundred-meter Aperture Spherical radio Telescope) is now open to the global scientific community to promote international scientific cooperation and development. Professor Peng Bo, director of the Key Laboratory of FAST at the Chinese Academy of Sciences, said FAST is the most sensitive telescope in the world and has detected more than 300 pulsars, equivalent to 10 percent of the total number of pulsars discovered by all radio telescopes in the world over the past 50 years.
