A passenger train derailed in a tunnel of the island region Taiwan, resulting in at least 50 people killed and more than 160 others injured, in the region's worst train accident in 40 years. According to local officials, the death toll could still rise. The train was travelling from Taipei to Taitung with nearly 500 people on board.
