Qingming is the fifth of 24 solar terms on the traditional Chinese lunisolar calendar. It is the only solar term that also marks an important traditional festival, the Tomb-Sweeping Day, which fell on April 4 this year. This day is usually accompanied by drizzles as vegetation wakes up from the long winter slumber.
