Fengxiang painted clay art has been passed down for more than 3,000 years. The sculptures are made from special clay found only in Fengxiang County, northwest China's Shaanxi Province. Dubbed "China's home of clay sculpture," Fengxiang County is also home to many local artists who make these sculptures in their spare time. They believe the colors and patterns of the clay help bring good luck and keep away the bad.
