The Huanghuacheng section of the Great Wall is the only lakeside stretch of the colossal structure in Beijing. It is located in Huairou District, some 70 kilometers north of the city center. This section was built during the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) and is well known for its beautiful natural and man-made landscapes.
