Manila Mayor Isko Moreno received his first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine made by Chinese manufacturer Sinovac on Sunday, expressing his confidence by stating the best vaccine is the "one in your arms."

The Philippine government previously required that health care workers should be given priority for vaccinations, while government officials were temporarily barred from inoculation.
