South China's Shenzhen City of Guangdong Province has achieved marked results in ecological protection over the years.

The spectacular scene of large schools of fish jumping out of water in Shenzhen Bay has become a common sight thanks to constant improvement in water environment since a fishing ban was imposed in 2014.

"The fishing ban in prohibited fishing areas in Shenzhen Bay has achieved good results. And the quality of water in Shenzhen has improved significantly, making the area very suitable for the survival of marine life and migratory birds," said Wang Zhou, deputy chief of Nanshan brigade of Shenzhen Maritime Comprehensive Law Enforcement Detachment.
