The owner of the truck that caused the deadly derailment of a train in Taiwan on Friday witnessed the accident happen, local media reported on Monday.
Lee Yi-hsiang was overseeing the construction site near the tunnel where the crash took place and owns the flatbed lorry that slid down a slope and onto the tracks as the train was approaching.
Images have emerged online purportedly showing Lee, along with a man in a dark blue T-shirt, standing at an elevated level and looking down at the crash site after the tragedy happened.
Hualien prosecutors said on Monday that they're looking into the case, including whether Lee and the other man took any emergency action following the crash.
