A total of 3.23 million people had been vaccinated in southwest China's Yunnan Province out of a population of 48.6 million as of Monday. About 403,000 people had been vaccinated in two doses and 2.8 million people had received one dose.
So far, a total of 63 locally transmitted cases were reported in the province after six confirmed COVID-19 cases were found in Ruili City on March 30, local health authorities said, adding that the central government has sent an emergency batch of vaccines to Yunnan to support the vaccination work.
