CGTN released a 55-minute documentary titled "The war in the shadows: Challenges of fighting terrorism in Xinjiang" last Friday, drawing wide public attention. It is the fourth documentary by CGTN on the fight against terrorism in Xinjiang. China has stressed several times that Xinjiang hasn't seen a single terrorist attack over the past four years. CGTN's Wu Guoxiu raised a question that if China still considers Xinjiang issue as one that's about counter-terrorism and de-radicalization. Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Zhao Lijian said the challenges of terrorism and extremism still exist in the region even today.
