Governor of Sudan's West Darfur State Mohamed Abdalla Al Doma Thursday announced that 132 people were killed in recent armed clashes in the state's capital of El Geneina.

"According to the medical reports, so far, the number of the people killed is 132," Al Doma said at a press conference in Khartoum.

He said the security situation in the city is calm and the armed clashes have ceased, pointing to acts of looting at the outskirts of the city.
