China won 2-1 over South Korea in the first-leg match of the women's football Olympic qualifier in Goyang, South Korea, on Thursday.
The second leg will be played in Suzhou, east China's Jiangsu Province, on April 13.
A penalty from Chinese superstar Wang Shuang sealed the deal on a victory for China. The South Korean women have not qualified for the Olympics yet in history, yet the desire to qualify is strong. Will they stage a come-back in the second-leg? In the meantime, China players displayed strong mentality, fitness, and tactic during the match. There's no question that the Chinese team will continue to do their best at home to claim the final victory.
Geng Siyuan from CGTN Sports Talk is joined by senior editor Josh McNally to comment on the match.
