Liu Xin visited a farm in northern Xinjiang's Changji Hui Autonomous Prefecture, and saw the rise of modern farming. Farm owner Gubake Wulabo needs about a dozen people to take care of around 250 acres of land. Chores such as sowing, watering & laying the pipes are done by machines. The family is Kazak Chinese. The village is primarily Kazak Chinese too. In Xinjiang, there are 56 different ethnicities, not just Uygurs.
