Iris flowers after a spring shower in NW China

April to June is the blooming season for iris flowers. After a spring shower, the wild iris flowers with raindrops on it manifest more vivid colors while blossoming by the road in Shuhe Ancient Town, Xunyang City of northwest China's Shaanxi Province.

Iris is a genus of about 300 species of flowering plants that produce showy and beloved flowers with vivid colors include purple, lavender and blue. Iris flowers grow in temperate zones of Northern Hemisphere, from Europe to Asia. In China, wild iris could be found in northern and southwestern parts.
