The Wormhole Library, dubbed as a landmark construction in Haikou, the capital city of south China's Hainan Province, has opened its door to book lovers. /CFP
On April 12, a "landing ceremony" was held on the Haikou Bay to mark the opening. According to Hainan Daily, the library now allows a maximum of 400 visitors a day and visitors have to make a reservation ahead of time. /CFP
Designed by MAD, a Chinese design firm based in Beijing, the coastal library added vigor to the city as its unique shape has been taking center stage since it was first revealed in August 2020. /CFP
The library, spanning 1,400 square meters, is divided into two areas. One section is for readers and the other for tourists. /CFP
