Qiao Xue is an inheritor of the Qiao Family's leather craft, an intangible cultural heritage. At the end of 2017, Qiao set up a women's poverty alleviation workshop in a village in northwest China's Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, where she worked as an instructor offering training courses to women on making leather goods. She promoted the goods live on Douyin, Chinese version of TikTok, to help the local workers.
