A batch of Chinese Sinopharm COVID-19 vaccine on Tuesday arrived in the Mauritian capital of Port Louis.

Mauritius has confirmed 1,198 COVID-19 infections, with the death toll at 15, according to John Hopkins University.

The country with a population of 1.4 million people first went into a two-week lockdown on March 10. This period was later extended twice to April 30.
