U.S. climate envoy John Kerry will visit China this week amid high tensions between the two countries. The State Department says his focus will be potential China-U.S. efforts on climate change ahead of President Joe Biden's virtual climate summit next week. Biden is expected to use the meeting to outline the U.S. goal of cutting carbon emissions by 2030. Kerry's trip to Shanghai will be the first visit to China by a Biden administration official. The envoy will also visit the South Korean capital Seoul.
