The launch vehicle and payload for the Shenzhou-12 manned space mission have arrived at the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in northwest China's Gansu Province, the China Manned Space Engineering Office (CMSEO) said on Thursday.

The Shenzhou-12 mission will send astronauts into space to help construct China's own space station. It will be launched after the core module of the country's space station "Tianhe-1" is sent into orbit in late spring, according to media reports.

The spaceship and the Long March-2F carrier rocket for the Shenzhou-12 mission are undergoing final assembly and testing at the launch site, the CMSEO said.

The astronauts for the mission are also in intensive training, getting ready for their historic journey.

All facilities at the launch site are in good condition, and all the systems involved are being prepared in an orderly way, the CMSEO said.
