Marking the 70th anniversary of China's aviation industry, the country's Vice Premier Liu He said on Friday that China will transform itself into an aviation power, speeding up technological innovation and deepening reform of the industry.

Liu made the remarks during a symposium marking the 70th anniversary of the country's aviation development in Beijing, China. He pointed out that over the past 7 decades, China's aviation industry has grown from zero to a modern industrial system.

In the future, being alert of changing international and domestic situations, China will keep up with global technological trend, achieve self-sufficiency with domestic innovations and enrich its own talent pool, added Liu, emphasizing that these factors are all key to the country's development of the aviation industry.
