China, France, and Germany met online on Friday, just days before U.S. President Joe Biden's virtual climate summit scheduled to be held on April 22. The meeting was timely as John Kerry, the U.S. president's special climate envoy is in Shanghai. China and Europe's collective effort will play a "stabilizing role" in combating climate change, and hopefully, the U.S. will also play its fair part responsibly.
