The U.S. climate envoy John Kerry concluded his climate change talks in China on Friday. During his stay, he held talks in Shanghai with his Chinese counterpart Xie Zhenhua and also spoke via video link with Vice Premier Han Zheng. Chinese officials welcomed the U.S. return to the 2015 Paris Agreement and reiterated China's commitment to achieving peak carbon emissions by 2030, and carbon neutrality by 2060.
