Two Russian warships on Saturday passed through the Bosphorus Strait in Istanbul towards the Black Sea and a detachment of 15 ships from the Russian Caspian Flotilla has also completed the transition to the Black Sea, local media reported.
Several Turkish coast guard boats accompanied the two warships during their passages through the 30-kilometer-long Bosphorus Strait, one of the world's busiest waterways, that connects the Black Sea and the Marmara Sea.
The detachment of warships from the Russian Black Sea Fleet has gone to sea to conduct artillery fire exercises, the Russian defense ministry announced on Wednesday.
