India records over 260,000 daily COVID-19 cases

India reported a record high of 261,500 new COVID-19 cases on Sunday, taking the total tally to 14,788,109, according to data released by the country's health ministry.

It was the fourth consecutive day when more than 200,000 new COVID-19 cases were reported in a single day in India.
