A magnitude 5.6 earthquake followed by a magnitude 6.1 earthquake hit Taiwan's Hualien County on Sunday, according to the China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC).
The first quake struck at 10:11 p.m. at a depth of 7 kilometers. It was monitored at 23.92 degrees north latitude and 121.53 degrees east longitude, said the CENC.
Three minutes after, the second quake hit at a depth of 5 km, and was monitored at 23.94 degrees north latitude and 121.43 degrees east longitude.
There are no immediate reports of damage.
